The buzz about maverick

I live in Minnesota and with the Republican crap going on. I couldn't help but notice everyone using the word maverick to describe John McCain and Sarah Palin. When I think of maverick I think of these:












James Garner - You may remember the show Maverick. For those of you who like westerns. This should was one of the best at the time.









Mel Gibson - Before he went nuts! He made this movie. Pretty good movie and it also had the original maverick in it. James Garner











Tom Cruise - Remember Top Gun? Who doesn't. Top played the part of Pete "Maverick" Mitchell. Good movie. Too bad his career crashed and burned.


Maverick Records - Label home features artists such as Alanis Morissette, Michelle Branch, and Jude. Pretty good music!

The Dallas Mavericks - NBA team. The only reason I know of them is because of Mark Cuban.

These 5 are more deserved of the title maverick. The TV tells me different though with bla bla McCain is a maverick. He doesn't take crap from anyone. Same thing with Palin. She don't take crap from no one.
